What to send
- Two or three photographs of the piece in daylight — the whole item, and a close-up of what most needs attention
- A photograph of the care label if you can find it, usually under a cushion or along the lower edge
- What caused the stain and when, if that applies
- Whether any cleaning product has already been used on it
- Where in the capital area the work is

From photographs we can see the construction, where the load has fallen and how large the job is. That lets us confirm a price before arriving, rather than naming a figure on the spot.
